HSA Virtual Wine Tasting

We are all looking for some normalcy. Unfortunately we can’t do a big, in-person, adult social this year but that doesn’t mean we can’t get together for some fun (even if it is virtual).  Please join us for the first (and hopefully last) virtual wine tasting on Friday March 19th at 8pm. Grab some dinner and then join us as our own personal sommelier takes us on a tasting of four UNCOMMON wines. The zoom event will last about 45-60 minutes. It is live but will be recorded in case you need to watch at a later date. The price is $100 if you would like to pick up your wine at Versi Vino on Route 38 or $120 if you would like it delivered. Please note that an adult over 21 years of age will need to sign for delivery at either location. We look forward to seeing you on March 19th for some fun. Contact Elyse Brown, [email protected] with questions. https://moorestownhomeandschool.com/uncommon-grapes-wine-tasting/

Help us Celebrate our Class of 2021 Seniors!

Please help us to celebrate our MHS Class of 2021 Seniors. As you can imagine, all of the senior traditions and activities this year have been lost to Covid. We are hoping to make the last few months of a very challenging year more special and enjoyable for the Class of 2021. We will be organizing activities and surprises for the seniors to let them know we support them and are proud of them. We would love your help!

We are grateful for this supportive town and community and know we can come together to show our Class of 2021 Seniors some special hometown love! If you would like to donate or help, please reach out!

How Can You Help?

  • Venmo @MHSSeniorCelebrations
  • Volunteer to package & deliver treats
  • Sponsor an activity or surprise (great advertising for your business!)

Senior Parents: If you have a senior, please make sure you have “opted in” so your son or daughter doesn’t miss out! The school is unable to share personal information, so we are working hard to include everyone! If you have not already signed up on the google form, please email  [email protected]. If your child didn’t receive a Valentine delivery last week, it is because we do not have your address. The Valentine treats are in the Main Office for students who did not receive a delivery. We want to include and celebrate EVERY senior! Make sure to follow  Moorestown HS Class of 2021 Parents on Facebook and @supportmhsclassof2021 on Instagram.

Ronald McDonald House “Baker Bags”

For over 25 years, Baker has partnered with the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey (RMHSNJ).  This year, students are welcome to donate small snack bags.  It’s a great way to do charitable work with your student! These bags will also be utilized in the eleven Family Waiting Rooms across Southern New Jersey hospitals for family members of sick children.    Individually packaged, non-perishable items include (but not limited to chip bags, cookies, granola bars, pretzel bags, packs of crackers, breakfast bars, etc.  Snacks with nuts are acceptable, but refrain from single bagged nuts.

  • Fill as many quart-sized Ziploc type bags as you would like with individually packaged food items and seal completely.  (No limit!)
  • Hybrid students can bring the bags to school in their backpack.  Choice remote students may place bags in the labeled box in the school vestibule on any day or during your material pick-up/drop-off days.
  • Bags can be sent in/dropped off any time until February 26, 2021.

For any questions or additional information, please see the email sent by Mrs. Rowe on Friday or contact: Erin Cangelosi ([email protected])

Guadalupe Family Services

Guadalupe Family Services is a nonprofit agency in Camden that provides diapers, pull-ups, and baby wipes to families in need.  Due to the pandemic they have seen an increased community need and have doubled their efforts.  Please help by donating baby wipes, size 6 diapers, and pullups of all sizes.  Items can be dropped off or shipped directly to Lourdes Sherby at any time at 402 Pleasant Valley Ave. Moorestown, NJ 08057. Thank you in advance!  For any questions, please contact: Erin Cangelosi ([email protected])

Our South Valley Food For All February collection dates will be on Wednesday, February 24th and Thursday, February 25th.  There is a bin located just inside the school lobby for anyone that wants to drop off donations there as well.

As always, the food pantry is extremely appreciative of all donations.  In particular need right now are toiletry items, dish and laundry detergent (but NOT jumbo sizes), baked beans, flavored rice, canned meat and tuna, canned fruit and applesauce, and ketchup and mustard.

Thank you again for all of your donations!
