BOE Candidate Forum – TONIGHT!
Moorestown’s Home & School organization will be hosting a Board of Education (BOE) Candidate Forum via Zoom on Monday, October 18th at 7 p.m. MooreUnity will be moderating the event as they have for the past several years. The Candidate Forum provides voters with an opportunity to get to know each of the six candidates, so they can make informed decisions on Election Day.
To ensure the Forum runs smoothly in the Zoom format, voters are asked to submit questions in advance to [email protected] no later than October 12th. As questions come in, MooreUnity will work with a statistician to prioritize them based upon the most common themes. The BOE election is non-partisan, but to avoid any perception of party favoritism, the MooreUnity volunteers who read and prioritize the questions will be made up of an equal number of Democrats and Republicans.
We hope you can join, but if you can’t, the event will be recorded and available to view at a later date. Here’s the link: Please click the link below to join the webinar:

Moorestown Better Together Survey
The Better Together Moorestown task force, formed earlier this year by Town Council has a mission of making Moorestown a thriving community where all people feel safe, respected, welcomed and included. To assess the community’s strengths and areas for improvement, the task force is asking anyone who lives, works, worships in (or frequently visits) Moorestown to complete the community survey. The survey is open through October 31st. Participants are asked to provide honest feedback about their experiences living and/or working in Moorestown. It only takes about 5-10 minutes to complete and can be accessed at Better Together Moorestown Community Survey or by using the QR code below. All responses are anonymous. Those needing assistance completing the survey due to lack of internet, language/vision challenges, or any other reasons can contact the Better Together Survey hotline at (856) 942-3283 or e-mail [email protected]

Our Halloween dance will take place Friday, October 29th. Please note this is a different date than is noted on the Home and School calendar. The dance will be open to all students and will take place outside (in the event of rain, it will be in the MAC at the high school).
Click HERE to RSVP for the dance. Additional signups for decorations and donations coming soon.
The UES Book Fair will be in full swing all next week (10/18-10/22)!
Volunteers: We are looking for volunteers to help students pick out books and get them to the register in a timely manner. Due to covid restrictions, we can only have 2 per class period. Please look for your child’s homeroom teacher. There are a few slots where there are no assigned classes, we are still asking for volunteers in case a class decides to drop by. *Please note that you will need to wear a mask the entire time you are in the school building.* Click HERE to volunteer.
Teacher Book: Also, there will be no Family Fun Night this fall. Because of this, we have created a list of the teacher wish list books so you can see what books the teachers want and order them online if you’d like. Of course, we will have the list at the actual fair if your student would like to purchase a book for their teacher there. Click HERE to sign up to purchase a teacher book
eWallet: Last but not least, here is the link to the eWallet, Scholastic’s cashless way for kids to buy books. Cash, checks (made out to Moorestown Home & School), and credit cards are accepted, as well. Please note: Any unused money in the eWallet will not be returned, it will need to be used online or at the next book fair (this is different from prior years). Click HERE to create an eWallet.

Recess Runners is back! This is a great program that allows each child the opportunity to get moving during their recess period every Tuesday and Thursday. The students are encouraged to walk or run at least one lap. The maximum number of laps that can be completed each given day is seven, which equals one mile. Parents can come in for 30 minutes of time to help log completed laps with the students. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Kristen Collar ([email protected]). Sign up and check back often HERE.
